Universal boots for black/indigo pants

Hello guys, i'm looking for a slim dress boot that'll go well with both my dark indigo denim and my black selvedge chino. For the style of boot I think i'm looking for something along the lines of First Avenues from AE or balmoral boots from meermin. I wear my pants pretty tapered and hemmed at the ankle. Does anyone have a boot they can recommend for me? I'm thinking maybe a dark oxblood/burgundy but i'm open to anything.
