Hi - first time poster, appreciative of all the posts I've been able to read here.
Buying a suit for my wedding and researching options thinking I'd spend up to $1K or so for a suit that can get me through formal occasions for the next decade (I never wear a suit to work). After suffering option anxiety from reading about MTM shops I figured that I'm a fairly standard 38R buying a conservative charcoal gray and should just try some off the rack suts. I tried on a Paul Stuart Phineas Cole suit and felt like a million bucks right away - I especially liked the cut of the shoulders compared to other things I've tried on - but at nearly $2K I'm quite a bit above what I was hoping to spend.
If I bring photos and a description of what I liked about it, can MTM shops like Mr. Ned or LS that are in the $1K range get close to what I'm looking for or will I be more limited in the cuts? I'd assume that I can find a nice fabric if not the identical one - so it's more about whether I can get the right jacket fit.
