I'm looking for a camel hair sports coat this F/W season. I'm looking at the Brooks 3/2 sack and the O'Connell's 3/2 sack. Does anyone know who makes the O'Connell's? Any testimonials about either? Any other suggestions I should look at?
I'm a little concerned about the 'imported' nature of the Brooks and the fairly squared shoulders of the O'Connells, but I can probably get the former after Christmas for <$400 and the latter anytime for $600. I'm a young professional with a decent disposable income, so I'm happy to do MTM to get the garment truly 'right', but if either of these is really good I'd probably go OTR. Unfortunately I won't be making it to Buffalo any time soon, and my local Brooks doesn't carry any of their sack models.
