Are Center Vent Jackets Obsolete

With all the presence of side vent suit and sport coat jackets in recent years should the center vents I have in my closet by Southwick, J. Press, Cable Car and Brooks Brothers be all thrown in the dumpster? Are we to begin all over buy replacing all these items with side vents. I quit buying altogether these past couple years because of this foolishness. I now go to Wal Mart for their Khakis and Polo Shirts. They hold up well and you don't need to be concerned about this B S. Wal Mart also sells an excellent dress shirt in button down or regular collar, it is a poplin blend of cotton and poly and even has an adjustable collar to expand or contract up to an inch in neck size. It launders well and costs 12.99 and you can't wear it out. Most of what is sold at the Trad places now comes from China and other cheap wage places and are sold for big mark ups.
