I am just starting to get interested in bow ties and I bought a few off eBay that spoke to me. I found some really nice embroidered ones for very good prices, but I bought a couple with printed patterns I am a little unsure of.
I like the patterns a lot and can picture what they would go with, the problem I'm having is the material is pretty shiny. It looks like maybe a polyester satin. I feel like ties with a sheen on them belong just for formal occasions and that's not what I want to use these for. But again I'm new to bow ties. Are these ok or too tackey and should be put in the lesson learned pile?
