I have some 11oz Basketweave in Navy from Fox Bro. I am prepared to make a jacket from it.

At the same time I asked Fox Bro. if trousers could be make of this fabric as well. I was told it would not be a viable option as the material is not made for trousers.
For a comparable woven design, fresco has been suggested.

That fresco in person looks almost more diaphanous and less suited for trousers. But all that I have read and asked, the Fresco is never been a concern to "pull open" in the seat when compared to the concerns of Basketweave.
Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance for any response.
