Few months ago I got these LHS's. It seemed as if the shell was black, with a #8 strap. Well it's just like this on one shoe. 
What I'm talking about.
I know this isn't some special edition where the strap is a different color because this is the other shoe
It's all the same color.
So on the messed up shoe - it seems to have this foggy film on it. However it has a texture to it.
Here are some pictures to show you what I'm talking about
So basically, how do I fix this? It doesn't have the glass-like smoothness of the other shoe, and it's all dull. When I rub a damp cloth on it, a pink residue comes out on the cloth. Perhaps old polish? Is this all excess polish?
I have Saphir renomat, but is that too strong for shell?
Or should I just use the Mac method over and over again until I get to the actual smooth shell layer.
