I started using classic pomades some two years ago. Since then I have acquired quite a collection. I have really thick hair and I found that petrolatum based heavy hold pomades (Murrays Superiour, Dax red, Reuzel Pink, Schmiere hart, Dapper Dan Strong) work best for my. Sometimes I combine them with a lighter product to add some shine or a water based product (Layrite, Suavecito) in hot climate. I think that pomades are a great product with only a few caveats (mainly that it can be difficult to wash them out). They give my hair a great look and feel and they are cheap compared to most fancy modern styling product you'll find on the market (a can of Murrays costs some 5$ and will last a very long time). I noticed, that they are experiencing some kind of revival right now. Who has some experiences and recommendations to share?
