It would be nice if there was some general standardization of colors among shoe brands, but it guess it will always be the case that one man's oxblood will be another man's burgundy...
But generally speaking, is there some sort of accepted general translation of shoe colors?
Does Color #4 = burgundy?
Does Color #8 = oxblood?
And does Merlot = Bordeaux?
Here is my attempt at ranking colors along the Black-Purple to Brown-Red spectrum, starting from Black Purple first:
Merlot / Bordeaux
Color #8 / Oxblood
Color #4 / Burgundy
Chili / Dark Cognac
Cognac / Chestnut
Walnut / Tan
Am I on the right track?
