When does a"blazer" become just a blue sports jacket?

Maybe a dumb question but what makes a blazer a "blazer"? I think we all, on this forum at least, agree that the classic navy,3/2 roll, undarted sack cut, 1/4" top stitching and lapped seams,3 patch pockets with two of them flapped, gold buttons, is the standard bearer for a correct trad blazer. When does it become less than this;
(1) when it darted?
(2) when it loses its gold buttons?
(3) when it loses it breast patch pocket?
(4) when it loses its 3/2 roll and becomes two button?
(5) when it loses all of its patch pockets?
(6) when it loses its 1/4 lapel stitching and lap seams?

At some point it appears the trad blazer just becomes a navy sport jacket and I am curious as to when others may think this happens. this is not about fit and materials, merely details.
When does a"blazer" become just a blue sports jacket?
