I have a rather expensive Movado watch with a leather strap. This is the third time, I am replacing the old worn-out leather strap with a new one. Unfortunately, this watch can only take leather strap.
I want to know 1) is there something like a plastic sleeve I can slip on to cover the couple of places the leather strap is literally breaking due to moisture, sweat and may be poor quality workmanship without compromising the aesthetic of the watch (I paid lot but still the workmanship seems to be poor in imho). If NOT plastic sleeve, what you think is the NEXT BEST way to prolong the life of the leather strap.
No, I do not want to get rid of it and buy a new one with stainless steel strap/band/bracelet....at least not yet ..may be when cows come home.....:):)
