Do you tailor your slacks to a different length for wearing with dress boots?

I've never owned a pair of dress boots, but I'm thinking about getting a pair. Something like the AE Dalton than I can wear with slacks in a business casual environment. It occurred to me, however, that I have no idea how to wear slacks with dress boots. All of my slacks are tailored to a medium break over a pair of oxfords. Is this going to be too long for a pair of dress boots? Or will it be close enough?
