Today I took receipt of a sack blazer sans buttons, purchased from our very own dexconstruct on the Trad Exchange, and now it's time to start looking for some buttons!
Here's my wonderful acquisition:
As you can see, the patch pockets and shlubby nature of the material make it particularly casual, so I do not think I'm terribly interested in brass buttons (especially since I have another blue blazer with brass buttons already).
In doing some preliminary research, I found a great post by Flanderian from last year highlighting the use of horn buttons on a blue blazer in this photo:
The material in fact looks very similar. And I think that looks quite nice! The wood-like, matte texture of those horn buttons is particularly appealing.
So, while I'm looking on eBay and other sites, I wanted to ask for the community's opinions and suggestions. Where should I look for such horn buttons that Mr. Flanderian therein described as 'honey?'
