Good moring first time post but I've been lurking on this forum for the last couple weeks trying to learn as much as I can about suits.
I have a new job that will require wearing suits to work so I'm trying to learn as much as I can so I dont make the wrong decision. I went to Nordstrom a couple weeks ago and bought a Charcoal Peter Millar suit and had it tailored. I like the suit, its a half canvased suit that feels like solid quality. Paid Retail but feel like I learned a fair amount in this process. I've since read more on suits and feel a little more educated.
I went back over the weekend and ordered a Hugo Boss Huge Genius suit in Navy. Figured two quality suits would get me started. Then I read more on this forum that Huog Boss suits are fused and not as good of quality. ( Blooming dales had a sale so nordstrom price matched) for 595 out the door. The clincher is I'll have to pay for the tailoring. Should I return the suit and go a different direction?
I've seen many Hickey-Freeman suits on Sierra Trading post for close to what I'll have into this one. However I'm not sure about the different cuts they provide. I'd like to stay close to or under the 800 dollar mark.
