I seem to have noticed a trend recently in men's sport coats and suit jackets where lapel notches and breast pockets are moving ever higher.
It now seems as though lapel notches sit on the clavicle and in some cases, almost at the top of the jacket. And with this, too, have breast pockets moved higher.
I can't help but wonder if this will eventually "date" suits the way broad shoulders did in the 90's, and the "skinny suit," and short jackets have more recently.
How tiresome to watch "fashion;" narrow lapels then wide then back to narrow, wide shoulders then normal, longer jackets (watch Monty Hall in '70's re-runs of The Price is Right) then very short jackets, and on and on...
Thoughts?
