December 19th of this year my wife and I will be attending an event, it's not formal or black tie. I've narrowed it down to two suits, my HSM 100% worsted wool dark gray two button and my Ralph Lauren dark gray wool/cashmere blend three button with a nice roll over the first button though not quite a 3/2 sack. Black captoe oxfords, white shirt, burgundy grenadine tie, white ps. My question is really what suit would be most appropriate? I really like the Ralph Lauren suit because the cashmere gives it that soft sheen which I think is nice. I also have a purple tie on the darker side, and a navy blue tie, so what's your thoughts? Advice? Concerns?
