Going out with a bang!

mercredi 4 novembre 2015

The wife and I have been talking about the future and have decided to cut each other off. With 3 kids (girls) and a 4th planned, weddings, college, possible career change, and retirement way down the road, we have begun a much needed financial plan to better prepare ourselves for the future. For the forseeable future, needs purchases will be our focus and wants are out (I tried convincing my wife that shoes and boots are wants and not needs but she wasn't buying it. Crazy right?). That being said, we both made some last purchases before we cut each other off. The following purchases are a result of the last purchases. There are three of them and they all three not only fill a hole in my collection, but allow me to experience a company I have yet to experience.

I will start with Enzo Bonafe. I purchases the following as a MTO from Skoak.

I ordered this double monk strap in:
804 Last
8UK
Vitello bolet color
Silver buckles
Single Leather sole with the fiddled waist and natural sole edges
They will be ready in February. This gives me my first Enzo Bonafe as well as my first Double monk strap shoe.

Next is my Vass MTO purchase. Thank you dddrees for the inspiration:

These boots

But with these colors

Model 1065 (as a boot)
P2 Last
Size 42.5
Burgundy scotch grain shaft and upper portion. The rest in Red cognac calf
Double Dainite sole

I should have this by the end of December, Beginning of January. This gives me my first Vass and my first boot.

Finally, my Edward Green purchase from Skoak:

Edward Green Cardiff
Almond Country Calf
UK 8.5
202 Last
Double leather sole

I told Skoak to hold on to these until my EB are finished. I will receive these in February as well. This is my first Edward Green purchase and my first derby purchase. They were on sale (and still are) for 645 USD.

I will post pictures when I receive them all. I think I made some good purchases for the last three shoes/boots I will make in a very long while.
