I'd like to ask a big favor. Does anyone happen to have a pair of both EG oxfords in Dark Oak Antique and C&J Handgrades Dark Brown Antique - and could you post a picture of the two side by side?
I've looked at hundreds of pictures online but of course because the lighting is different in every picture, so it is too hard to make a direct comparison. And I will never get a chance to look at both of them in person on the same day. There is a retailer who carries EG in my city, but I'll have to travel 5,000+ miles to New York to get a look at C&J.
I will prefer the one that is a bit brighter and with a slight hint of reddish tones. I will not like the one that is darker with a more faded gray overtones. If they are pretty much identical or practically indistinguishable, I'll probably go for the C&J. Specifically, it is the EG Chelsea vs the C&J Audley.
