I am looking to pick up a few more JA MTM suits from Men's Warehouse. First suit was a medium blue herring bone, modern cut, single breast, two button, pick stitch, side vent, surgeon sleeve, notcheck lapel, slant pocket, ticket pocket, burgundy Bemberg lining; Slim flat front pant, no cuff, medium break.
This suit was for a conference and I wanted to be sure that I didn't blend in with the crowd. A good number of near and medium blue suits, but mostly nice greys and navy blues. Most would go that way, but I zagged. For the next two suits, should I go a little more conservative. Shoes at the moment are AE Park Avenues (just recrafted) and brogue ColeHan chukka boot in medium brown. I would like another pair of AE's in a closed lace brogue in either a chocolate or burgundy.
The above suit totaled about +/-$775. So similar details would be the same for a range 1 wool or less. For my next two suits(daily wear), if I go the charcoal grey and navy blue, should I bother with features like pick stitching, slant, pockets etc. Do these options get lost on solid suits in these colors? Should i stay lower twist forlonger wear, or just double slacks and rotate? Works is real estate finance and suits needed for customer facing events. I'd eventually like to suit everyday or very nice business casual as my office allows. Also, if I pick up a blue blazer first, what would be your next blazer/sports coat choice for more casual meetings and office days?
Thanks in advance,
John
