The holidays are well upon us and I'm looking to give myself the gift of a new suit. Unfortunately, I am having precisely zero luck finding anything that remotely works for me (but I have met some fine salesmen who would rather admit they have nothing for me than to try and peddle ill-fitting suits, so I at least have appreciated that knowledge). My most relevant measurements are as follows:
*6'3"
*180 pounds
*40" chest
*32" waist
*18.75" shoulders
My best fitting suits at this point are a couple of Hugo Boss which I got for a song on eBay, 40L with waist measurements between 19-20". However, I am feeling desperate to upgrade and have been utterly disappointed by the fit of everything I've gotten my mitts on to try so far; off the top of my head Canali, Zegna, Z Zegna, Hickey Freeman, and Samuelsohn. Each has been hideously unflattering in the waist, hanging down and offering a compelling illusion of an additional 30 pounds.
Can anyone suggest a reputable brand that might offer a line to suit my figure? Even Hugo Boss it seems has begun shying away from the 'extra trim' offerings of recent years (a change that on the whole I suspect will mean fewer men stuffed into woolen sausage casings, but that's neither here nor there),
