I am moving to DC/Capitol Hill in a few weeks and am in desperate need of suiting. The problem I have encountered is that I am a 48L in all aspects except the shoulders. They are far too large. My shoulders are more suited for the width of a 44L, but of course then the only thing that fits are the shoulders.
I have tried many brands, H. Freeman, Hart Shaffner Marx, Hickey Freeman, RL, Hugo, JAB, nearly everything at Men's Wearhouse.
At least 10 stores have told me I need custom. First, I'm poor. Second, I'm time constrained (2 weeks). That will eventually be the road I take but moving across the country to one of the most expensive cities in said country is taking a toll.
Does anyone happen to know suit brands I should look at that perhaps have more narrow than normal shoulders? I would like to stay under $1000 per suit. Preferably $800.
