I sometimes see vintage shell cordovan shoes that have good looking uppers, but the bead/piping around the throat, where the ankle meets the shoe, is badly cracked, often with small pieces missing. Can a quality cobbler replace the bead/piping with satisfactory results? If so, what is the price range for such repairs?
