How should shoes fit?
Like a glove, gently wrapping around the curves of the top and sides of your foot? (For me, only Alden's Modified Last does that.)
Or loosely, so that if you wrap your hand around your shod foot, there is some "extra" space in the leather?
Of course, this would be done in the late afternoon, when your foot is at its largest.
I'm thinking this is easiest to do with a blucher or oxford. Harder to do with a loafer (through moccasin construction might mitigate that?)?
