Last weekend my wife and I went out to dinner with four other couples, and I've mentioned the sartorial issues elsewhere.
What really put a damper on the evening though was that the women all sat at one end of the table, and the men at the other. This was a female idea.
Despite me knowing most of the women better than their husbands I was marooned with a bunch of guys who talked a lot about rugby, while much more interesting conversation was going on at the far end of the table.
I don't think I've encountered such a seating arrangement before.
Is this becoming a thing now?
