Men's or women's Levi's jeans

First off, hello everyone.
This is my first thread.
I have a question about Levi's jeans.
Soon I will receive a pair of Levi's from my cousin. She said that they never fit and that they're better off with me.
We are talking about Levi's 501, which are as far as I know men's jeans? She says that she bought them in USA and that they are unisex. Can you tell me more from the pictures. Are they really unisex or men's jeans, and how well would they fit on a woman's body?
