Hello all,
Just writing to give a heads up for one of the best made- to- measure events in the DC area... every year in the fall and the spring Dash's of Oldtown (http://ift.tt/1NUqHBn) hosts the Luigi Bianchi/ Lubiam trunk show (http://www.lubiam.it/en). I can't really recommend Lubiam enough, they are easily on a level of quality equal to or better tham Canali or Zegna but at a fraction of the price. I've gotten a few suits custom made by Dash's over the years and paid 20% less than what i'm used to paying for Zegna off the rack, let alone Zegna MTM.
The best part of this event is that ALL of the available fabrics are on promo, not just select fabrics. Their standard suiting book includes fabrics from Loro Piana, Barberis, Ceruti and Reda, and this year for the 1st time they are offering fabrics from British mill Dormeuil. If you're interested in getting a suit made for you and paying less than what you'd pay for a good suit off the rack, go and see Victor at Dash's. I don't think its possible to find a custom suit made in Italy for under $2000 in the DC area. At Dash's the regular price for MTM suits using these designer fabrics is about $1900, at the Trunk show you can expect to pay around $1500. I plan on going in this weekend to get measured for my 5th Dash's suit. Can't wait!
