Where can I purchase a pair of sensible cargo shorts ?

I'm in search of a pair of no-nonsense cargo shorts for wear while hiking and strolling around camp. However, I don't want to look like a chav , so that rules out mall stores such as American Eagle and the like. I would also like a pair with old-fashioned buttons instead of velcro or metal snaps.
