There is extra material underneath the cuff. It's a medium weight denim and the bottom of the jeans don't drape as well with all that extra material underneath. I googled this hemming technique and most of the extra material is usually cut out. These are pre-distressed jeans and thought that the original hem service would be the way to go. I guess these jeans are screwed up, although they are still wearable. Next time I am just going to do the chain stitch hemming service (cut off the original hem and put a new hem on). Please share your thoughts. Thanks!
