Can A Suit Be Make With A "Buggy Lining"?

Hi everyone, I'm thinking ahead about my trip to Hong Kong a year from now.

I have a nice Canali jacket which is a Linen 55 Wool 45 Silk 5 blend, a somewhat loose weave and light weight.

The jacket is "buggy lined".

What I like is that it is relatively cool in our warm climate here in San Diego.

So I'm wondering if a suit can be make with that type of construction, or does that make it too unstructured ? Or does it make the suit more casual and therefore best suited for more casual occasions but not for more formal ones?

The jacket I have happens to be grey with a slightly slubby weave etc. but wondering if it were navy for example, would that make it more acceptably formal and so forth?

With a buggy lining we won't be able to get that shape to the chest, and so forth, though we can still have some structure to the shoulder, do I understand that correctly ?

Then there is the option of the loose weaves such as Frescoe and Finmeresco, just remember to line the pants or at least wear attractive underwear, right ? :D

Thanks !
