Hello all,
I have been traveling for business for years and have overcome pretty much any clothing dilemma faced on the road. I have developed a very strict packing strategy.
But it's time for some change.
I'm lucky in that I am in business casual (no suit, but I do wear a sport coat and tie) 4 days a week. Depending on my schedule - I can ditch the tie and in the winter I'll substitute a sweater for the coat.
So it's not hard to see how I can use the above for 4 unique combinations. Most of the time, I fly in jeans, the Gucci loafers and a polo. This comes in handy if I need something more casual one evening. I also pack a swim suit, flip flops (hotels floors are gross - even at the nice ones), boxers, t-shirts, etc.
So the challenge is this:
You have a single carry on (22 inches) rollerboard suite case, pack it for 4 days of business travel without wearing the same combination twice.

- White oxford button down
- Blue oxford button down
- Charcoal, pleated trousers
- Khaki, pleated trousers
- 4 ties (these I rotate, obviously, weekly) - mostly rep (ok - all but one or two)
- 1 pair of C&J cordovan loafers with tassels
- 1 pair of black, Gucci loafers (bit, lug sole)
- 1 Orvis navy sport coat (which is the best one I've ever owned for travel, btw)
So it's not hard to see how I can use the above for 4 unique combinations. Most of the time, I fly in jeans, the Gucci loafers and a polo.
