After watching Love Actually, then looking up the cast, I came, roundabout, to seeing GQ's 50 Best Dressed in the UK for 2015. (Yes, yes, GQ is hardly the place to go for advice; I am never there but for these accidental incursions.)

I do not share the disdain so many here have for jeans, but I can't help but think that pairing a suit jacket with them, or any other casual trouser, looks a bit "off."
Any thoughts?
